stay alive

gather the light of the stars

in your fingers

transport it to your heart

stuff laughter into your bones

weep for all that have fallen

weep for the long sacred life of our Elders

weep for the blind and bloated captains and lords

stumbling through the dark abyss of their egos

dreamless and bloated with importance

while we stay alone

and keep our distance

nurtured  and comforted in sacred silence
